BWCA_2012_Summer

I've been talking to my good friends the Fruitts about the Boundary Waters and the area FOREVER. Well, on this trip, we finally got them to come on vacation with us. This was a dual vacation, meaning for the first half we shared a cabin with Shelly, Russ, and Ashley at the end of the Gunflint Trail.

For the second part of the vacation, Ashley, my god daughter, Natalie, and I went into the park for 4 days. Since the trip was a shorter than normal Boundary Waters trip, we chose to do a quick base camp of Third Bay, with a day trip to Ester, and the "cliffs of Ester".

We also visited our time capsule and enjoyed some great fishing on a little gem of a lake in the area. All in all it was a GREAT trip, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
