Carp Lake campfire.  There is always something special about campfires up there.  I know some don't like them, and others don't take the time.  Whenever we have an opportunity, and there is NOT a fireban, we build a campfire.
This is an interesting camp built on one of the islands on Carp Lake.  I'm not too sure if I like this or not.  We definitely used it.  I guess if it was not there, we'd find something else.  Since this is so close to Prarie Portage, I suspect there are MANY of these types of camps close by.  I did like Carp lake, but it was TOO crowded.  A couple members of our group were actually "called out" for making too much noise one morning.  They were talking in the canoe while fishing, and I guess they disturbed the natives.  I understand their position, but if you want seclusion, then DON'T base camp on CARP.
Breaking camp on CARP.
More camp Breaking on Carp.
